Description: This feature class contains polygons which show salmon waterbodies within each of the 7 salmon river watersheds that fall within the DFO Twillingate detachment area. The polygons were imported from the National Hydro Network (Waterbody feature class) and then organized by salmon river watershed, to create a dataset with one polygon feature for each watershed. Larger, "two-sided" rivers are also depicted as polygons in the "Salmon Waterbodies" dataset. Like the related "Basins" dataset, the Salmon Waterbodies dataset contains attribute information on the name, zone and class of each salmon river/waterbody as reflected in the following documents: (i) Anglers' Guide - Scheduled Salmon Rivers of Newfoundland and Labrador and (ii) Conservation and Protection - Scheduled Salmon Rivers & DFO Detachment Regions Newfoundland and Labrador. It also provides links to online information on current in-season status.Cette classe d’entité contient des polygones qui montrent les plans d’eau à saumon au sein du bassin versant de chacune des 7 rivières à saumon se trouvant dans le détachement du MPO de Twillingate. Les polygones ont été importés du Réseau hydro national (classe d’entité regionhydro), puis organisés par bassin versant de rivière à saumon, afin de créer un ensemble de données avec une entité de polygone pour chaque bassin versant. Les cours d’eau « doubles » de plus grande taille sont également illustrés sous forme de polygones dans l’ensemble de données « Plans d’eau à saumon». Comme l’ensemble de données « Basins» connexe, l’ensemble de données « Salmon Waterbodies» contient des données attributaires sur les « nom », « zone » et « catégorie » de chaque rivière/plan d’eau à saumon, telles qu’elles figurent dans les documents suivants :(i) Guide du pêcheur à la ligne – Rivières à saumon réglementées de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, et (ii) Conservation et protection – Rivières à saumon réglementées et détachements du MPO à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador. Il fournit également de l’information en ligne sur la situation des rivières en cours de saison.
